For times immemorial people by and large have been programmed to take up jobs and live on what it is called a time-for-money trap. Though this route almost certainly does not take us anywhere what is called financial security or financial freedom, people still continue to take this route for their survival and growth. Job at best can be described as temporary income and it is not all a wealth creating option. If one looks at history and also contemporary life, one will find that successful people have always been entrepreneurs and never has an employee reached those dizzying heights.
Unless this mindset changes in people, jobs will continue to be the driving force for income generations and entrepreneurs will be few and far between. Today’s huge corporations grossing billions of dollars of turnover and profits have not reached this stage overnight. It is a result of lot of sweat and hard work put in by the small group called the founding fathers or promoters of this company. If one keeps his ears and eyes open and if he or she is extremely ambitious with fire in the belly, no doubt there are many opportunities for starting ones’ own small business.
Around 50 to 100 years ago starting your own business was riddled with problems and risks. Yes, even today all start up organization, big or small, do face challenges and risks but they are better equipped to overcome them. For example, in the olden days finding an export market was tough and even if one market was identified sending goods and services were a big problem in terms of transport and logistic facilities. However, it is no longer the case today and businesses can become global provided it is run professionally and right decisions are taken on time. So, young people of modern world would do better being job givers rather than being job eaters.
